1786 Married SUSANNA DAY by licence at Walton-on-the-Naze. Both single of the parish.

1812 3rd December. Married Thomas Littlewood at Tendring.

Children: Anna Maria Littlewood 1813, John Littlewood 1815, Mary Littlewood 1817, Susan Littlewood 1820, Eliza Littlewood 1822, Thomas Littlewood 1825, Charlotte Littlewood 1827, Nathaniel Littlewood 1830, George Littlewood 1832, William Littlewood 1834.

 

DANIEL CANDLER.

Married Mary.

 

MARY CANDLER 1793 Baptised at Little Clacton.

1809 Married George Thompson at Little Clacton.

 

JOHN CANDLER.

1796 14th February. Burial at Little Clacton.

 

THERE IS FURTHER RESEARCH TO DOIn 1798 Susanna Candler, the wife of Edward Candler, was removed from Thorpe-le-Soken and sent back to Little Clacton. I have only seen the index to this event so far.

CANDLER - According to a surname project based at the University College in London the name of Candler is derived from an English occupation. The surname was mainly found in the counties of Essex and Yorkshire with smaller concentrations in other parts of England.
