THERE IS FURTHER RESEARCH TO DO - The birthplace of Adam Gedge of Hevingham is a mystery, as are his parents.

1639 will for Robert Gedge, sen. yeoman of Hevingham mentions only a wife Anne and a son Robert (310).

1647 will for Robert Gedge yeoman of Hevingham is not easy read, but it does mention a mother Ann Gedge, John Gedge and James Gedge (102).

1672 will for James Gedge of Hevingham mentions a wife Margaret and a daughter Ann.

At Hevingham: James Gedge leased land with tenements for 19 years from 1611, Richard Gedge, worstead weaver, leased houses from 1628, Robert Gedge, husbandman, leased tenement and land for 20 years from 1628.
