1850 28th October. Married ELIZABETH EAGLE, daughter of John and Ann Eagle.

1903 28th December. Wife Elizabeth was buried in Sporle churchyard.

1912 6th June. James Gilding was buried in Sporle churchyard. He died on the 2nd of June.
