THERE IS FURTHER RESEARCH TO DO - No burial has turned up for John Goodale, so no birth year. At his marriage in 1773 he states he was of Stow Bardolph. In Stow Bardolph parish registers are the following entries for a family that he may have been a part of:

 

Thomas Goodale, son of Thomas and Mary, buried in 1750.

Mary Goodale, wife of Thomas, buried in 1750.

(No marriage found to Rose.)

Susannah Goodale, daughter of Thomas and Rose, baptised in 1756.

William Goodale, son of Thomas and Rose, baptised in 1758.

Sarah Goodale, daughter of Thomas and Rose, baptised and buried in 1760.

Also at Stow was Mary Goodale, widow, who was buried in 1766. - Possibly mother of Thomas?

 

At Wimbotsham was an earlier son for Thomas and his first wife Mary, William baptised in 1748.
