THERE IS FURTHER RESEARCH TO DO - It looks as if the marriages that cover the period 1729 to 1730 are missing for the parish of Swanton Morley.

 

A will for John Lawes, yeoman, of Swanton Morley ANW 1672/73 (544) written in Dec. 1673 and proved March 1673 mentions a wife Elizabeth and a son John, a maltster, of Swanton Morley, and another son Richard, of Norwich, a tailor. Also John, the son of son John.

 

There are wills for Robert Lawes, yeoman (1643), and Robert Lawes (1654) of Swanton Morley to be read and a Robert Lawes, of Hongry Swanton (Swanton Morley, Abbott or Novers?), yeoman, leased property in four parishes in 1557. Unfortunately there are no later wills for Laws at Swanton Morley.

There is a baptism of a John Laws in 1677 but he could be the same John who died in 1687.
